THE Filer came as expected installed it-All went good till I turned on my water-I Had Little To No Water Pressure.IT MIGHT be good for some but not my home.

I see there is another vendor selling a Matrikx PB1 filter that does not look right. This is the genuine one. You can simply search on line and find several Matrikx filters including this one. This is an excellent price.

I purchased two of these replacement filters. One lasted for 3 months, the other just 1 month! The water just started dribbling out after 1 month. It took for ever to fill a pitcher of water. I doubt if these filters are really kx tech. I never will buy from this merchant ever again.

Lead Reduction, Cyst Reduction and Turbidity Reduction based on NSF/ANSI Standard 53 (based on manufacturer's internal testing).

KX MATRIKX Pb1 extruded activated carbon filters reduce soluble lead using an ion-exchange filter medium with high specificity for soluble lead. Particulate filtration is used to intercept insoluble lead-containing particles. Manufactured with KX's proprietary extrusion process, MATRIKX Pb1 filters offer high levels of chemical reduction in potable drinking water, including chlorine taste and odor.

MATRIKX Pb1 filters meet NSF/ANSI Standard 53, Turbidity and Cyst Reduction, including Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Entamoeba and Toxoplasma. Graded-density filtration combined with high dirt capacity extruded activated carbon provide several times greater life than molded filters.

Adavantages of Carbon Block vs. GAC Carbon

MATRIKX+ 5 filters consist of activated carbon particles fused into a uniform block with enhanced adsorptive capacity and efficiency. MATRIKX and flow in a radial (outside-to-inside) direction, providing increased dirt-holding capacity and low pressure drop. Unlike granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, MATRIKX + 5 cartridges will not channel or bypass due to the extreme uniformity of their extruded activated carbon core. Service life of the MATRIKX + 5 filter is greatly extended by a prefiltration medium.
