This isn't the best axe but it's CHEAP. It comes insanely dull so be prepared to put in some work. Once you get it sharp though it works pretty well. I use it for primitive camping, it's a bit heavy but the handle length is worth it. Ive used it for a couple 2 day treks in Pisgah national forest and it's held up so far.

Shipping was fast, however the product is lacking. The handle is uncomfortable and poorly fitted to the head. Doomed to premature failure. The blade needs more than touching up, it is just dull.

Right size and weight for small splitting and felling. The review I read about this was spot on. Very happy.

Found that the Levy's Leathers S65C Leather Axe Sheath (Walnut) fit's perfectly, so definitely order one with this, the rubber guard included won't last long.

Could use sharpening out of the box, but that's the case with most edged items.

The Trail Boss is light and compact enough to carry all day in your hand or strapped to your pack, yet heavy and tough enough for chores that would make a hatchet or tomahawk scream for mercy. Featuring a European style head with a 4" blade and a 4 1/2" cutting edge, it takes a big bite with every swing. Plus, it features a very stout straight-grained Hickory handle.
